About our Club

Kiwanis Club of Forest City-London

QUICK FACTS:

  • The Kiwanis Club of Forest City-London is a local chapter of Kiwanis International, a global organization dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time.

  • We are the merger of two strong clubs, the Kiwanis Club of Forest City and the Kiwanis Club of London.

  • Our charter dates back to November 30, 1920.

  • Among major projects supported by our club and its predecessor clubs are the Kiwanis Community Seniors Centre, Kiwanis Park, Kiwanis Skateboard Plaza, Kiwanis Bandshell, Children’s Hospital of Western Ontario, and the Kiwanis Music Festival.

  • Last year our club gave approx. $100,000 to support local community and global service projects and initiatives here in and around London.

  • Our club has also fulfilled its $100,000 five-year commitment to assist Kiwanis International in its worldwide service project to ELIMINATE Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus, which claimed the lives of some 130 children each day before we began this project.
