BABY'S BOOK BAG

Baby's Book Bag is an initiative of London's Child and Youth Network Literacy Team and the Kiwanis Club of Forest City-London.

Babies and Reading

Did you know that your child's brain develops more between birth and age 3 than at any other time in their lives?

Talking face to face with your baby is crucially important for building the pathways in the brain that set the foundation for literacy development. Learn more about how to incorporate language and communication as you talk, sing, read and play with your baby every day.

New and expectant parents in London can pick up a free literacy bag containing practical, hands-on tools, board books and information to use as soon as the baby is born at any location of the London Public Library or EarlyON Family Centres.

Our libraries are community spaces! You will find comfortable, family-oriented places with engaging activities always available for children of all ages. Programs for children are free.

Kiwanis/Staples Back to School Program

Staples stores in Ontario are partnering with local Kiwanis clubs to garner school supplies for chldren heading back to class.

While individual clubs have worked with Staples for many years, this is he first time that Staples has reached out to all of their Ontario based stores and encouraged them to help Kiwanis raise money for the children in their communities.
